Y'all, I was trying so hard not to get into Christmas early...I fail miserably at this.  Although, it is only a week before Thanksgiving.  I'm pretty sure last year I started waaaaay earlier than this.

Pulled out all my Christmas CDs in my car and downloaded my "Christmas Playlist" onto my iPod.  I'm going over to my parent's tonight and I'll ( Read more... )

Don't feel bad about already getting into Christmas. Joel has a cousin who already had all the decorations up by the 9th of this month when we had Christmas with his grandmother. And my chorus has been Jingle Belling since the beginning of October, though I'm ready to Jingle some Bells at some radio stations that are a little too gung ho about Christmas carols. And finally, I'm almost done shopping. We set a $10 limit for parents and siblings, and we're doing a bit more for each other (these are all done because they will be delivered within the next week). I have one more thing to get Joel, and a few things to get Alice and I'm done. I think for Alice I will be shopping at Dollar Tree (really, how much do you need to spend on toys for a three year old).

Stess, I think you should read the book. I'm about ready to go see the movie a second time before I make a final decision....

Actually..I don't know. The thing is, I expected the movie not to be up to par. I expected something like the HP movies. Not exactly like the book, but I still LOVE them.

With this movie, I felt like they took ideas from the book and made up like half the movie. I think I'd read the book. Because, there are things in the movie where you'll be like "Why is he doing that?" and it'll only be explained in the book.
