Our cat Spike has a wound like thing on his neck. It looked like it was scabbing over for a while, but now it looks worse, I think he has probably been scratching at it and keeping it from healing. Him and his sister have been fighting more recently and I think that is probably what initially caused it. How do we help it get better, and keep him

Neosporin or vitamin A&E ointments are good for the healing if it's in a place that he can't lick easily...

Check to see if it is an abscess. If there is a pocket of pus, you're going to have to keep it open and put an anti-bac ointment in it and let it heal from the bottom up. If it is an abscess and it heals over from the top you might have to deal with a mass infection later on.
