i love, love, love
Terra exotic vegetable chips. except that i keep reading erotic vegetable chips. but i digress.
life has been, as always, ever busy. i'm not sure how far i'll get on an update before i wander away, bored and unfulfilled by my attempts to post, but no one else is home right now, and i feel like i've done enough moving for the day, so maybe something interesting will come off my fingers before i get too distracted.
i'll work backwards, since its been like four months since i posted last, and that wasn't even a real post.
this week at work has all been preparation for passover. Ugh. UGH. we' ve been cleaning everything, top to bottom in the whole kitchen. everything. today, i emptied a rack full of dishes, cleaned the rack, and washed the stacks upon stacks of dishes. those dishes were mighty heavy, so i'm tired and curled up on my couch, fairly unable to move (num, num num, chips!).
yesterday, i scrubbed a table (and its underside) and a 3 compartment sink (and it's underside), and some small appliances. i got comet in my ear, and up my nose. no fun.
this is just a small sample of my exciting and entertaining week.
last week was an odd work week. i worked monday-sunday, but had saturday off even though there were 2 parties that happened that day (they were both very small parties, and so they ended up not needing me [amazing and wonderful!]).
Monday the 7th, i supervised a caterer in my kitchen.
Tuesday the 8th, Beth and I went to a food show, and i came off of my diet.
wednesday the 9th, my synagogue hosted Art Garfunkel (i'd link his website, but its thoroughly uninteresting and doesn't even mention his visit to minnesota). As far as i know, the dinner and concert went well. Fortunately *I* did Not have to cater the dinner (300 people for a sit down dinner, yeesh) and since i had to be at work a 7am (to supervise the caterer) that morning, i decided not to sneak into the balcony of the concert with Beth (my boss) and Calla (one of our servers). i'm a bit disappointed that i shorted myself on the opportunity, but i was dang tired after running around all morning getting the dressing rooms ready. *shrug* sad.
I was pissed the morning after the concert, too, because everyone (the caterers, as well as the people who were supervising from the synagogue) left the place a mess. i had a full days work of prep to do, and it took me half the morning to get everything from the previous night cleaned up. fortunately, the dinner friday was small, so some of the things i wanted to prep thursday were able to be preped friday.
(my chips are almost gone! boo!)
Previous to last tuesday, i had been doing fairly well on the South Beach Diet, and have lost about 30lbs total since i started last fall. I hope to hop back on pretty soon, since i've been doing so well, and maybe hopefully sometime be able to find time to exercise. i want to start back up with archery once they put new haybales out at the parks, and maybe take some sort of a class so that i'm committed to *doing* something.
umm.
we've been househunting. its frustrating. we've put in a couple bids on a couple places, and none of them have panned out yet. prolly going to look at a couple more houses tomorrow at 3, but i'm starting to get burnt out by the whole process. we have til september til this house goes completely into foreclosure, and til then our landlords are letting us rent month-to-month.
Corwin is turning 4 on monday, the 21st, and Allen's parents are coming to visit from saturday to tuesday. i would really like to to get the house clean before they arrive, but its looking less and less likely with how tired i've been from work lately.
We will be going to como zoo on sunday, and after that (at 4) to my parent's house for car cake and icecream and presents. please join us if you can, it'll hopefully be fun.
after Allen's parents leave on tuesday, i will have a fairly relaxed week, and will be generally more available since passover is not the best food-holiday, and we dont have any events for me to be at work for (i have to work sat the 19th, monday the 21st, saturday the 26th and sunday the 27th for sure, but only from about 10-2 on those days)
i would like to have a movie viewing the weekend of the 25th and 26th. i would like to re-watch the star wars trilogies. my plan is the 1st 3 on friday after work, and the 2nd 3 on saturday after work. not planning anything big to go along with those, but i generally have good food around, and would like company if anyone cares to join me. after the movies, i hope people will want to generally hang out/want to play wii/want to eat food/want to drink booze. i'm open to ideas. please feel free to just show up, but if you call/text/post at me so i know generally who may come/how many to expect, i'd appreciate it.
looks like the end of my post. time to go occupy myself with the other thing thats been keeping me entertained when not at work(besides werewolf books): maple story.
