this has to be one of the most entertaining examples demonstrating the downward spiral the english language has succumbed  to in the 21st century…pretty amusing, i think, anyways, despite the tragedy.  hehehe. :3

Oh my. I must say, this is quite the most charming thing I have heard to date. (And though it might imply otherwise, I mean no insult by the use of the word "charming.")

It is rather true, and yes, rather tragic. Having come to America, I've found the ever mind-numbing word "like" and the bleached blonde melody that comes along with it insidiously insinuate itself into my vocabulary. I try to fight off sounding completely like an airhead, and my husband and I tend to try and use somewhat antiquated words in our everyday conversations.

I say antiquated because words like "prosaic" are completely unknown to most Americans here and I get a blank look every time I pull one out of my behind. I've always been profoundly grateful to my Asian education. -.- Americans truly are rather behind in education.

Thanks for the wonderful video. Ima go see that purty poem agin. ;)
