Must Say...

I posted a comment at a friend's LJ that got so voluminous, it deserves an entry here all its own.

She wrote in her LJ, Re the Narnia movie:

"Aslan was hot (don't ask I know he's a lion) and Mr Tumnus was cute."

I agree that there was something seriously wrong with Dumbledore in the latest HP film. He just reminded my of an old and tired drag queen...of the tasteless fashion sense kind. You know? Maybe I'm being to harsh though.

I loved Aslan beyond all words and I think Liam was absolutely PERFECT as the voice actor in that role. It sounded almost exactly as I imagined it when I read the books as a kid.

Which one is Kyle Chandler?

Well since I was with you at each of those movie events, you know my exact feelings :)

I adored Mr. Tumnus. He was just perfect. And Aslan was just a big allegorical kitty with a nice voice ;)

And you know I agree about EE having to be out on DVD... sigh, Kyle Chandler, sooo great as Bruce the dim actor

LMAO...I need to write more entries like that... that was so funny. I refrained from mentioning that weirdo from Early Edition...he's still a geek and such a pansy. I wondered what he'd been sniffing/smoking when he came swinging in like Tarzan on a vine...I literally groaned.
Anyways...good to see you back again Miss A.

For the record, I adored Liam as Aslan... I didn't actually know it was him doing the voice before I reached the theater, but I recognized it right away and spent half the movie trying to place it. *LOL* My first thought when I realized who it was, "Ari is going to be *thrilled*!" *LOL* I hope they continue the series and I hope they bring Liam back as Aslan every time. Now that they've established him in the part, I know I couldn't accept anyone else but his quiet, soothing voice as the much beloved character ( ... )
