I don't know the characters, but I enjoyed reading your fic. I liked Rust especially.

I've heard about this show, but never seen it. Is it good?

Cool! I'm glad you could enjoy it without having seen the show.

I like the show a lot so far--but I think it depends on how much you you like Matthew McConaughey as an actor--I know a lot of people can't stand him. It's very beautiful, but very stylized, in both the filming and the writing, and I'd agree with the people who say it aestheticizes genre tropes instead of really deconstructing them. But, it's high quality TV, and pretty compelling.

Don't judge it by its first 40 minutes--it gets much better after that.

Hm, I don't mind Matthew McConaughey. Though while reading about the show I focused mostly focused on the fact that Woody Harrelson is there. I always enjoy watching him.

I'll give it a try, then. Sounds like it's worth of checking out :)

Woody Harrelson is also great in it! Though neither of them play entirely sympathetic characters. I hope you like it if you try it!

I might write more if the urge strikes me--the characters are pretty compelling!
