Fandom: due South Rating: R Word count: 20,909 Pairing: Fraser/Kowalski/Vecchio Summary: Ray returns to Chicago and finds Vecchio is back too; Fraser's coming down in a month. What could possibly go wrong.
Ray almost turned back, but he wanted his damn coffee, so he dug his nails into his palms and went in. His life, so damn hard.
I want to be the one to pick Fraser up GOD, THESE TWO LOSERS. <333333333
Ray felt Chicago all over him like a second strangling skin I love the things you say about place in this story.
looking like maybe his expensive tailored suit didn't fit so well today. Oh, Christ, my baby.
"My father will build us a cabin." Oh god, I just ship them ALL.
Just staying here until the dream hallucinations got to the point where Fraser said he hated him seriously didn't bear thinking about. MY HEART, MY HEAAAART.
the world being really immediate and telescoping away all at once, which meant if he tried hitting something he'd probably end up with a broken hand. God, this fic is making me love Ray in really unexpected ways.
"God knows you work better with the Mountie than alone, Vecchio. Kowalski's record is a bit more solid." OH NO DON'T DO THAT D:
"Constable Fraser can liaise with whoever he wants." LOLOLOL
"You just stayed in Canada?" Vecchio demanded, and put like that -- put like that, Fraser had spent two years crammed in a box and Ray had assumed it was just one of those freakish things he did, but Vecchio made it sound awful, not like a normal Fraser thing to do.
Okay stopping to comment part way through the story, but you have to know how much I LOVE the bit I quoted. Because YES! It is so fucked up that Fraser stayed in the consulate and since Kowalski had just met the guy there's no way he would have realized how wrong it was. *applauds you wildly*
BLORG TOO TIRED TO EVEN SEE, part three in the morning. BUT I just want to say that this is wonderful (like I expected any less from you? :DDD) and I love the thing about Ray and Ray and inflection, and just -- just every damn thing. Also I GRIN EVERY TIME FRASER SAYS THANK YOU KINDLY and that applies here as well, plus he says Ray so many times and you always know which Ray he means -- I want a show of that. Just that. Am I insane?
