Fanfic Resolutions for 2015
Okay, first of all with this post I'd like to say that 2014 was a great year for me as far as fic writing goes. :) Looking back here on LJ and then over on the board I realized: "Wow. I wrote a lot!"
My totals are as follows...
Wincest: 10
J2: 6
Other Fandoms: 6
Overall Total: 22
I'm very pleased to see that I wrote more Wincest this last year than in the past. I never actually got around to writing a resolution list for 2014, so I just used the ones from 2013 and '12 as a sounding board. And one of the things I wanted to do was write more Wincest. I'm glad I accomplished that.
Not only that, but I also wrote fics centered around 2 of my favorite OT3s. :) Those being Harry/Ron/Hermione from Harry Potter and Eliot/Hardison/Parker from Leverage.
This past year I also fell in love with the show Girl Meets World and immediately developed a OTP in Riley/Maya. And I began writing my own GMW 'verse centered around these characters.
I have to admit though, I'm a little surprised I didn't write more J2 fic. I thought for sure that number would be a little higher. Oh, well. There's always this year, right? ;) But I'm very happy I did write two more fics in my DNB 'verse. One being this past January and the other over the summer.
Okay, here we go. My Fanfic Resolutions for 2015:
1) Write more J2--yeah, that's essentially all I want out of this one. It'd be great if I wrote more in the DNB 'verse, but at this point I'm open to anything...
2) Play with Dean's "shower sex is complicated" line from S9--holly_blackmoor, you know how much I love myself some shower porn, so being able to work with that line in some capacity would be great.
3) Write more in my Awkward Parents 'verse--I love this version of the boys, their home life in the bunker and the family they have in Cas and Kevin.
4) Write Danni/Gen or Danni/Sophia fic--this is something I've talked about doing for years, and I have several fics of this very nature languishing on my hard drive... :P :(
5) Finish one of my WIPs--pretty self-explanatory, huh? ;)
6) Continue writing my GMW 'verse--even if this 'verse is getting more and more AU with every passing episode, I'm loving it anyway, so I'm gonna keep working on it. :)
7) Write something that challenges me as a writer--I feel like I've done this a few times already in the past couple of years, but I'd like to keep doing it. No matter what form it takes.
8) Welcome the desire to write in other fandoms, don't fight it as much--I think I really need to work on this one. I LOVE writing in the SPN fandom (J2 included here), but I feel like writing in other fandoms is helpful to my writing process and it can be very refreshing at times too.
