I have been heavily recruited by a Birmingham school system and does it ever feel nice to be wanted after fighting for every single sub day I worked in the maritimes. I will likely be leaving the 16th of February and would work until the end of the school term (July 22 ( Read more... )

Yeah- and so many of us have left people we loved, knowing that they would be sad and that we would miss them in order to get work experience. It's a real mixed pot of emotions but if other people can do it and do it well, I shouldn't be too worried about the cons of the experience.

I think that since I won't be around, I will likely be lj-ing more to let people know what's going on.

Oh, and it's Birmingham Midlands, UK. :)

OHHH cool!!!! You'll love that!! And it's only 5-6 months, you'll be fine! At least you can speak the language. Travel on your weekends. Go out in your evenings... but not tooooo much and try to join a local activity/class thing. That's a great way to meet people
