Egad, I'm actually working on something I want to make a career of!

It's not a paying job, more of a portfolio-builder, but it's something.

It's a six-page self-contained story with original characters; sothacid and I decided on the story this evening (did we decide how a longer story arc using the same setting would end? OF COURSE WE DID), which I then wrote up and converted to script format, and I just now finished

I will wake up one day and find out that the bedroom is cocooned in logo design sheets and hand studies.

And then I will go OH YOU.

It always makes me happy to see you doing design stuff that you actually LIKE doing.

Uff, no kidding. Right now I'm waffling between whether or not I want the drawn artwork to be "clean" with the words scanned in, or if I dare risk putting speech bubbles directly onto the work. Since it's going to be so long, I'm considering the former, with the exception of onomatopoeia (which, in one case, are used to form a panel border).

I have nice block handwriting, thankfully.

My husband made a terrible Comic Sans joke last night while I was working on the script. I flipped him off before he could get to the punchline. I have the terrible sensation he'll whisper things about using Papyrus in my ear this evening.
