I don't think there's a cure for autism. Let me just make that clear right now. I think, no matter how much research is put into it, there will never be a 'cure' found. Nor am I sure that there should be one, but that's a whole different post ( Read more... )

You see, unlike you I do believe in a "cure". I know people jump to the ceiling when we use that word, but I mean I don't think you can rewire the brain of an autistic person, but they can improve enough (in their communication skills etc..)that they are able to functionate like anybody else in their life.
I mean, it doesn't matter if you go from A to C travelling through B or through D, as long as you end up in the same place, you know what I mean?

That's what I call recovered I guess... :-)

I don't mean there is a magic wand that will take care of that, but I believe there are a lot of things that can be done, especially with bio-medical approach.
