Quite a lot of this chapter has been in my head ever since I first started writing the story, though there were various things I needed to put into place first before introducing Irene. Having said that, Dominika was a new element because I'd only just seen the episode where she comes back when I was up to chapter 7 and I had a "argh! House is *living* with her? I didn't know that!!" moment. :) But I thought she was a nice, laid-back complement to the rest of them with their various mind games.
I can't say I *like* Irene either, though she is a fantastic character to write and very useful in this story where the male leads are pretty repressed when it comes to expressing feelings normally. I doubt Sherlock likes her much either, though he obviously found her intriguing and attractive - until in this story, he's explored that and probably been as disappointed as she was. ;)

I dare say some people may have liked Dominika so you'll probably find some scenes with her online. I wasn't very struck on the character's return or interested in her relationship (or lack thereof) with House. But I'm always game to play with whatever a show throws at me, and in this case, it dovetailed nicely with Irene's appearance.
I have a draft of chapter 10 which just needs a rewrite and a beta... which since my betas are as bogged down in RL as I am, means it may still be a couple of weeks before I can post it. But it is coming and the end is nigh. :)

Oh, I loved all these fake married people (and half of them fake dead) going out for dinner! What brilliant fun! XD Also, I really like the way you like Irene, sexy and always knowing how to play things. And it'll be interesting to see more of her relationship with Sherlock.
The making music together was lovely, too, of course and I'm impressed by the little snippets into their past with you've thought out very believably. :-)

Irene is great fun to write; she sees right through all the men and can work things out about them that they don't necessarily notice about each other. ;)
