Excellent chapter! The kiss was perfect and Sherlock's a dad! Loved that twist. If this happened on the show, exactly like this I would be happy :D

Thank you once again for remaining a faithful commentator after all this time. :)

Ironically, the twist was a late addition. I was musing about Sherlock and Irene's wedding night and pondering why she'd specifically want to consummate the marriage, and why she subsequently left her job. I noticed when rereading the story that House mentioned grandchildren and it sort of fell into place. :)

And I have literally spent the whole story working my way towards that final scene with John.

The rest of the story is written so I'm just waiting to get the last two bits betad and then I hope to be done by Christmas. :)

Sometimes even the author has to be open to the subconscious subtext in their stories. :)

The last bits have been sent out to my betas and hopefully I won't be seized with a desire to do any extensive last minute rewrites that take weeks to do!

Loved it! Loved the scene with everyone, and Sherlock asking John to stay, multiple times. Poor House having to cope with being a granddad. And yay for John and Sherlock finally getting together! :-D

Yes, poor House. There he was just about wrapping his head around being a father and bam, he discovers that against all logic, his gay son has managed to father a child.

As to Sherlock, he's always known what he wanted, and now at last, he's got it.
