The next part will be a related scene that I thought about posting as a separate story, but which ended up being an epilogue to this one to incorporate the series finale of House and hopefully tie up a couple of tiny loose ends.

I know you've been busy and I'd ended up rewriting this chapter extensively anyway in the meantime because I wanted to bring in all the House characters, so I thought I would just go ahead and post. Will you have time for the epilogue, do you think? I'd like to wrap the whole thing up before Christmas.

So happy to read the new chapter! This is your translator. I'm glad House took my advice LOL to 'drill it into John', performing his fatherly duties so well. Makes me want to get past the angst of previous chapters I'm dealing with now and jump ahead to the happy ending. :)

Yes, it was amusing that I got your message just as I was doing the rewrites on this chapter, so it was encouraging that I was on the right track with House's little speech to John!

I know there is quite a lot of angst before getting there but at least now you know it'll all be all right in the end! :)

Loved it! Loved House and Sherlock behaving like father and son, even though they didn't really want to and didn't know how. Loved House threatening John. :-)

Thanks, I thought it would be an interesting contrast to their antagonistic stance when they first met again in chapter 1. And of course, having worked out why Sherlock ODed the last time, House has good reason to feel protective. :)
