Ok, I think we need more water, and yes cranberries can totally sub for raisins. Might even toss in a few dried apricots because OMG I agree they are totally delish. I can bring the organic stuff--just remind me. Oh! And put down 2-3 bottles of wine. At least one for dinner on Saturday, and then the remainder to be used for drunken revelry, etc. Although maybe only two, since I totally plan on buying some bottles of mead once we get there.

Looking over the list as a whole I think that we will have way too much stuff. We just need to make sure that we eat the perishable foods first, top priority. Because stuff like bread, peanut butter, jerky, granola bars, etc. can always be taken home afterwards. Nobody wants four-day old zucchini that's been sitting in five inches of tepid water in a cooler in my car. I'm kind of thinking we could skip the sausage & biscuits breakfast thing, since we'll have bread, peanut butter, granola bars, and banana nut bread to choose from.

So, to simplify.

LE MENU.Arrive on Thursday. Dinner will be cooked ( ... )

YAY!!! Alright, I've refined our menu, and consquently our food list, and taken off a few things. We'll probably only need one Zuchini, one Squash, one Carrot, etc. I threw out the Bell Pepper since we have so many of the other veggies already.

I went for the Smoked Corn and Potatos on Saturday afternoon. Then we'll feast on foods we don't have to cook into Saturday night, and finish up with the cobbler. If there is any left over, we can snack on that Sunday morning, or revert back to the rest of our goodies.

This is so much fun. We ARE such Cancers!!! hahaha

Additional notes which occurred to me the moment I clicked POST.

Friday night's Mac and Jack will be in your dad's cast iron pot. Once that's cleaned out I think we can use that for the Saturday night cobbler. Need to look up notes on how to bake stuff over an open flame in a cast iron pot with a lid. How long? Maybe ask your dad? And whatever we throw together on Sunday will be fine in a foil packet. (See? You were right, we'll only need a normal roll of foil.)

Keep reminding me off this stuff, since I'll be doing the majority of it next week. Probably Monday, actually. Maybe we ought to do lunch on that day...

And I ought to have said, "God we are such cancers." Because let's face it sistah, that's what we are even with all your air signs, and all my leoness. We are at the heart of it, go-with-the-flow emotional cancer girls who deep down can't help but believing that food-is-nurturing-and-love-and-life. That's why this is really going to be too much fun for words.

Two more things. (Kind of feels like one of our real rambling conversations, doesn't it?)

Have you considered any spells that you might want to do while we are there? Talk about one of the best environments for it. I know I will be asking for a general healing spell, because let's face it, I can always use one. I'm only asking because it might be good to prepare anything you might want beforehand. I'll probably bring some crystals geared towards healing. I might also bring a copy of a photograph of a favorite ancestor of mine, since it will be Samhain after all.

And on a more normal note, you should come to Hill Country Dayz on Sunday and visit me! I'll be running a smoothie booth with my mom. There are gonna be all kinds of fun things and you should drag PK and your mom and your little bro out into the sunshine and, well, public. Besides, I haven't seen your mom in SO LONG. I almost forget what she looks like!

Sunday, Hill Country Dayz, Smoothies, got it!

I probably won't be able to convince PK to come out with me, but maybe I can twist my mother's arm. Where exactly is "out"? And should I come at a specific time? Details!

Awesomeness! It'll be at Bar-K Park, and we'll be in the vendors' tent from 12-6pm. Yay, smoothies! Taaaasty....

Huh. Both our moms will be there. Cancer girls! Good grief!!

Ahahahaha the thought crossed my mind.

I brought it up with my Mom, and she goes, "Oh, I saw a flyer for that. I wanted to know if you'd be interested in going..." So we'll definetly be there. Lol

YAY!

Ok, so today (instead of waiting until Monday) I went by Whole Foods and picked up:

Sunscreen (Alba)
Insect Repellent (Bert's Bees oil)
Liquid Dish Soap (some environmentally-friendly stuff)
Feminine Stuff (plastic free and totally biodegradable)
Honey (it was on sale)
Bar soap (for the shower bag)

And two small surprises for you. <3

I won't be able to buy anything until October, since I am very close to broke right now. And of course by October I won't have the time to buy stuff, unless it's in Korea or Ashfield, Massachusetts, or at a tent in a field in the middle of Texas. Is there some kind of thing in the stars right now that deems this moment the best time for financial troubles? Or are we just airheads when it comes to money? *Le sigh*

Well there is some huge star thing going on, I didn't read it closely enough but it's a whole bunch of planets all together and it could mean trouble. I dunno though.

AWESOME about the stuff you've gathered!! I'll be working on getting some of the stuff on my list together, and we can start a third list of...you know, gathered things.

YOU BAD GIRL! Don't be spending money on me!!! <333333

Oh, I'll spend money on you if I so please.

Is everything okay up at work? I drove past about an hour ago and didn't see your car.

*allergies! Ack*

Oh definetly. My mom and Travis (who has Friday's off) needed to use the car for errands, so PK took me back to work after lunch, and left the Blue Car with them.

Hence, why it's not here.
