Does anyone know???

It just occurred to me that I might be registered as an independent rather than a Democrat. Do I have to be a registered Dem to vote in the primary, or can I vote anyway if I'm registered Ind?

MN is an open-primary state, so you can still vote Democrat even if you are registered as an Independent.

Good to know--thanks!! I tried calling the DFL offices, and no one is answering. Seems they have tons of personnel to call all of us, but if we call them, no one is home. I've gotten 12 or so phone calls from Obama's people to date, and every time I tell them, yes, I'm voting... yes, for Obama... yes, I know where my precinct is... no, I can't volunteer, I have a baby coming and a toddler clinging... yes, I'd give money if I had some but no, I don't have any...

Sigh. Politics.

I haven't received any calls, probably thanks to having only a cell phone.

I don't know about you, but I'm nervous about the whole caucus thing. I just want to go to my voting location, cast a secret ballot, and be done with it. All this delegate stuff? Yikes.

Hi W - hope all is well with you & yours. I was just thinking of your mom just yesterday. I don't get over to the bldg. she works at, anymore, so don't visit with her much. Anyway, here are some links that you might find useful. Good Luck!
Also, if I were younger, I'd get involved with "Rock the Vote".
