Since arriving to this warm and humble home, Nia was greeted by an elderly woman by the name of Elda who took her under her wing and into the home with open arms. She dressed Nia in more comfortable clothing to work in, giving various tasks to do around the home much to Nia's delight from washing the dishes by hand or setting out the clothing and sheets to dry. Nia had done it before but here somehow felt so much nicer to enjoy the light breeze coming through and sneek glances to watch Simon and the elderly farmer working with this golden grass. She certainly never saw it back in their home. All these new things were appealing to her senses ( ... )

"No no, dearie, you just stay right there. You both have been working all day so please, eat up." Elda said as she placed the bowls in front of them. Simon looked nervous as he took up a wooden spoon, unsure of how to take this, what were they talking about ( ... )

Nia took a tentive bites from her stew,closing her eyes to savor the taste and texture with much pleasure. She sighed happily as she chewed. Her eyes met Simon's again curiously to see him gazing to her. Nia gave him a reassuring smile, holding out her spoon for him innocently for him to take a bite. She couldn't help but giggle lightly at his actions, trying to lighten the mood as best she could. It wasn't until after awhile after she had stopped feeding Simon her own food that Simon brought up the question of what were whitebloods exactly. Nia paused in her eating, setting her spoon down and dabbing her lips with her napkin as she listened. So if they were whiteblooded they would know? Why would the farmer not believe them then ( ... )

"A war." he confirmed nodding and then sighed at the young couple, "Off with ya. I'm 'fraid we dun have extra rooms so we made ya a place in the barn with some extra blankets ( ... )
