Lelouch had heard the pathetic racket from whatever animal was here in this wood, but to him, it didn't sound entirely like a cat, it sounded somewhat human. That was what intrigued him as his curiosity got the better of him and he wandered further into the forest. He looked up to the canopy of the trees then, searching them, barely anyone resided in these woods save for a few lone hermits and the occasional small family...but the deeper one went the bigger the trees became and the more the darkness closed in ( ... )

Those ears twitched at the sound in the distance. "W-who's there!?" He hissed, raising a claw in his defense while the other was left limp. He would have dried his eye simply at the uncomfort of such a sensation but Cheshire had no time for that, he didn't want to be hurt anymore.

There was a distinct smell to the creature. It was human but there was something else... Something he had never smelled before. It worried him, if it was human then he would take it out. He would not be caught off guard again.

That other smell though... "ANSWER CHESHIRE!!"

Lelouch still couldn't see who the voice belonged to but he answered regardless. A cheshire? Certainly he'd read about the Cheshire cat in a book, when he was a child, fancying such fairytales when his mother would read them to help him drift off to sleep.

"Someone who means you no harm." He replied, loud enough to be heard, nonthreatening enough that whoever it was wouldn't blindly attack him in a fit of fear.

He paused in his movement, trying to figure out where the voice was coming from, from the sounds of it they were afraid. That may mean they would lash out if they felt someone was going to hurt them so his instincts told him to remain cautious.

"HOW CAN A HUMAN WISH CHESHIRE NO HARM? HUMANS TOOK CHESHIRE'S EYES, HUMANS HURT ALICE! HUMANS... HUMANS ARE WHAT CHESHIRE HATES THE MOST!!" He could feel his eye burning. The sensation needed to stop. He felt as if he was going blind once more.

He rubbed it with the side of his enlarged hand, wondering if perhaps it was blood but the smell was distincly not such at all. Were these really... He had watched Alice cry so often but he never thought he'd ever be capable of such which only brought more tears to his eyes, rubbing them away as quickly as they came.

"..damn itttt," he hissed, choking back another sob.
