How long has it been? And how short and unsatisfying is this chapter? Anyway, I hope the wait wasn't too bad. I haven't had a lot of time on my hands recently, but this really has been fun to work on! The way I'm looking at it, we don't have too much father to go...

It's interesting seeing the development in Layton's character - and all because of these innocent little words from Luke (still written wonderfully in character, just so you know). The conversation with Ms Anderson has me concerned, though - she brought up a lot of points that you may (or may not) wind up resolving later on... My sympathies were mostly for Luke, but now Layton starting to seem as awkward and unconfident of his mindset, just like Luke is of his abilities...
Anyhow - I'm truly glad you updated. ^^ It was awesome to read your work, again.

The conversation will most definitely be addressed! I don't like leaving gaping holes. Layton's dismissal of children, his emotional issues; those will be addressed soon. While Luke's development is moving in a forward method, I think that Layton's is moving backward - in the sense that what affects Luke's character are present events, while Layton resolves the events of his past. Okay, that doesn't make sense. ^__^;
Luke makes Layton uncomfortable with how he has always thought...while Luke changes because of Layton, Layton also changes because of Luke.

Yeah the long wait between chapters (.__.) makes it hard to remember details, even for me as the writer. I have to keep a word document where I write random info so I don't leave any loose ends or forget details. ^_^;

UWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH~
I saw this posted on the comm and realized I hadn't read any of this story. So basically, my evenin consisted of reading a chapter, flailing like a wild, glee-filled fangirl, then reading the next chapter, fangirling, etc, etc. Oh, and there was some tearing up at time too, of course. Because, holy shit, this is SO DAMN GOOD. I feel a little bad saying this, but I'm really happy I didn't read it until now because I don't think I would have survived the anticipation for the next chapter!
I love your characterization and your style and everything about this story. I don't think anything, even the game, has made me want to draw these characters more! I'm so in love with this story, I can't wait for the next chapter!
