I knew they were going to lose against Aomine. He's a monster in the field. (Like isaid in twitter, it was like David vs Goliath, only that this time Goliath wins the battle -but not the war, I’m sure-).
(I like Aomine's style honestly, all messed up. HEADCANON ALERT: I like imagining that for Kuroko it was a pain in the ass to play with him because "theory doesn't apply to him" but as a good shadow he adapted his playing fast, and I love comparing that to the way Kagami plays because he's surprisingly good, yes, but he has an order and a theory and he doesn't really do tricks and it's actually much less stressful for Kuroko, and it lets much room for them both to grow at the same time? Like for me Aomine's style was SO messed up Kuroko could only keep up with him -but couldn't concentrate in improving his own skills-, but Kagami's still not that good and that's perfect for Kuroko /not biased at all).
I also think Aomine was very cruel to Kuroko, ESPECIALLY considering that he was his first light.
But (HEADCANON ALERT) I think he's actually hurt because Kuroko left. Even if he was self-absorted before Kuroko left the team, I think he's kind of butthurt about it and that's why he's been nothing else but an asshole to Kuroko. I mean, he was already an asshole before but now more because he felt "betrayed".
Honestly I think that even if the Generation of Miracles didn't play like a team they all felt betrayed when Kuroko left because in the end they were a team, they just didn't play the way Kuroko wanted and I don't know the whole story yet, of course, but in my headcanon Kuroko was really selfish? IDK if I'm right, but I like thinking that way. I like flawed characters after all and Kuroko being selfish himself but demanding others not to be IS SO INTERESTING I HOPE I'M RIGHT. (I'm probably wrong lol)
ALSO: "You haven’t changed since middle school”, and Kuroko not knowing if that was an insult (he probably knows but hopes it’s not). AND THEN “You haven't improved at all" (and all his hopes are crushed).
It was cruel and I want to punch Aomine really hard in the face BUT I actually think it's kind of true?
Since the beginning Kuroko has been all about "I will make you shine because I'm your shadow" which is amazing because, I get it, that's his role. However, I do think that he has done very little to improve his own skills. He has just showed to Seirin what he could do when he was a Miracle, he didn't really... learn anything else (which, for example, Kagami did against Midorima, about defense and such). So even if he was harsh as fuck, I liked that Aomine told Kuroko that he was not good enough. Because he really isn't -not yet-. And I'm sure Kuroko (and all Seirin, actually) will take this loss to get it to the next level. I believe in them <3
((I still want to punch Aomine in the face))
