Okay, Qatar is pretty cool. It's amazing to be able to walk 10 minutes from my hotel and jump into the Persian Gulf and swim. Well not exactly, since there are no public beaches in Doha and women are forbidden to swim in public places so everytime I get in the water a bunch of qatari guys appear from nowhere to just look unblinking at me ( Read more... )

Argh. Warsaw premier tonight. ARgh. Head slowly melting. Arrrrpkdfgh. Bloop.

So now that I am working my ass off (if I'm not in rehearsal I'm teaching or sleeping) I can now finally appreciate the beauty that is a weekend. I slept late today, ran my 4.5 km, and started to set my painting studio up!!!! Which i have been waiting 2 months to do. Totally uber-angsty. Really mad at myself (realize now that I don't get mad at most things I get mad at myself). I see the prison that my mind has made for me, and now that I see it, I feel like I'm going crazy. So Qatar will not suck, the city is beautiful, there are snorkling places near by, and should I have the desire, i could watch the whale sharks migrate through the Persian Gulf (as november is their migration time) or watch sea turtles lay their eggs on a particular island about a 3 hours boat ride from the place we're staying ( Read more... )
