Movie Quote Question?

Hey,

So, as some of you may know, my favorite radio station at the moment is 97.1 FREE FM (Adam Carrolla mornings, Tom Leykis afternoons, and Frosty, Heidi, and Frank if I'm around mid-day).

When they do station identification, they play clips from movies/music. For example, they play a clip of The Who singing "I'm free" from Tommy (I don't know ( Read more... )

It could also be the robots from Battlestar Gallactica, the Cylons. Same phonetic pronounciation if I'm not mistaken. Though that would be a television quote and not a movie quote unless I missed something (very possible given that I have not seen much of either of the old or the new runs of the show).

Oooh, I didn't think of that. Thanks.

Ironically, I'm watching the Sci-Fi channel at the moment, which I think is where BG airs.

The more important question now is, "Why am I watching Firefly on TV with commercials when I have a better quality copy on DVD in the next room?"

Yeah, I'm guessing Galactica too.

And that question is similiar to what I ask myself everytime I see The Shawshank Redemption on TBS.

That quote is from Episode 3 of the first season of the 2004 series of Battlestar Galactica entitled "Bastille Day" said by actor Richard Hatch playing imprisoned freedom fighter Tom Zareck as he leads prisoners in revolt demanding a return to democratic elections within the fleet.

"We need to be free men and women. If we're not free then we're no different than Cylons."

way more info than you needed? or ever wanted? certainly.
