I really wonder why someone as vocal about historical politics as you are, at least if I remember correctly, would opt out of following current politics? Isn't that like watching history in the making? Sure, not all of it will ascend to the rare heights of Alexander's conquests, but still...

It's also that I had time to follow politics or golf, and I enjoy following golf a lot more. And really, I think most people would rather play golf with me than hear me rattle on about politics.

Largely, it just would get me angry. It just isn't worth it at that point to me.

I'd forgotten about that movie! I never did see it, but I can't help but feel sorry for all those people who can't display their movie merchandise or else they'll look like they're supporting him. One of my coworkers supports Huckabee, and I have to bite my tongue a LOT when talking to him about politics. Especially when he told me I threw my vote away because I voted for Ron Paul. So yeah, I know why you quit politics. :)

The movie was actually quite good, but I suggest waiting until Huckabee disappears from public eye before seeing it. I hope you get to see it soon!
