I attended an Indian wedding last month, and I have 2 weddings to attend at the end of this year. Seeing all my friends hooking up, getting married, having babies *cough* sherene, getting their flat... it makes me feel so sad. I'm not sad for them, I'm so incredibly sad for me. My life is still at a standstill, going nowhere. I'm doing a job I have a love

perhaps you've been reading too much TOC and being too influenced by the negative views of one subset of the population.

I don't support the PAP (and certainly I didn't vote for them) but a good proportion of the things I read on TOC are untrue. And I know because I've actually worked on those policies or know someone who did.

It is always easy to blame the government for everything that is going wrong. But perhaps the alternative is not that the wrong will be righted but that the situation would be worst.

That said, not all government policies are correct but it also holds true that not all of us have the luxury of hindsight.

For the rest of your problems.. I'm sorry to hear that you feel that your life is in a standstill. Maybe you could take a leap of faith and make a drastic change to your life. Maybe try a different job? Singapore is at full employment, I'm sure you could find a job you enjoy more if you gave it a try..

It's not TOC/TR, I know while they claim to be unbiased, they are actually really anti-govt. In particular, TR is as full of trash as TNP is, imo
