A little over four years ago, I heard some buzz about a young Senator from Chicago who was slated to give the keynote speech at the Democratic convention. Word was that he was an exceptionally good speaker, an up-and-coming sort of guy with a funny name. I thought he sounded intriguing, so I made a point of watching. Me, too. I printed Obama's convention speech 4 years ago and have kept it in my "favorite speech" file. When I found out he was running, I pulled it out and re-read it. I voted for him in the primaries and held my breath. Now, I'm holding it again. I'll cry if he wins, but I'll cry even more if he doesn't (it will surely be highway robbery if he doesn't...)
