I'm really pissed right now because I was all excited about this movie and I just found out that it's not opening in Italy AT ALL!!

I can still hope there will be some late release but I'm not very optimist. Stupid WB Italia....*sulks*

So people, I want reviews!!
Maybe not too spoliery but I want to know how Dan is coping with his first non HP movie ( Read more... )

Well, who cares? We'll get a copy of it eventually. Let's focus on the bright side: noone's gonna do nay report about the film calling Dan "il maghetto" :D

You know, the "no one is gonna call him "il maghetto" side is a very strong bright side. I just HATE when they call Harry "il maghetto" (stupid incompetents) in general and I'm sure I will hate it even more if they'd use that abomination on Dan when there's nothing Harry related in what he's doing.

yeah me too! we could imagine this but it's still annoying. a while ago i was thinking on going to london for the premiere but now we know for sure it's already too late to decide!

Yes, too late now. Thanks a lot WB Italia. I really don't understand this people, I know December Boys wouldn't have made millions at the box office but Dan is pretty famous in Italy and I'm sure it would have done ok. It's not that italian box office is exploding with great movies and blockbuster right now.

totally true, it's almost two month i don't go to see a movie and i usually lie to go at least 3 time a month!

It will open in Austria on October 12th - perhaps you should take a trip up north? ;)

Well, it is nearer than Germany. It also would be a great excuse to see the movie AND Salzsburg. I went there when I was thirteen on vacation with my family and I remember that I felt like I was in a fairy tale.

It seems December Boys isn't being shown much at all. It's here obviously, but only in a few select cinemas. It's not in my local one, the nearest one is 2 hours away.

I saw Film2007 yesterday, Jonathan Ross sounded like he was trying to give a nice review about December Boys with out actually saying "It's crap". Said the cast was strong, including Dan, but the flm itself was nothing to be excited about, basically. Didn't know if it was really worthy to go on the big screen.

We shall see.

Oh no, really? Jonathan Ross loves Daniel....mmmhhh, that's not good at all.
I really thought it was a good movie from the trailers and clips that I saw in the net for the last couple of weeks.
Well, I will cross my fingers for Dan. Movie critics and press can be really mean, I hope they'll not be too harsh with him if the movie is not that great.
