As I've recently discovered, there is a link out there to my livejournal that will appear whenever someone Googles my name. Given the potential hazards to the general public (or any specific public) who might unsuspectingly delve into the annals of a rather silly and poorly written personal history, this journal is now friends-only

I believe... if I'm not horribly mistaken... that there is an option you can trigger in your manage journal settings that will negate the search engine's abilities to key in on your journal.

Actually, I believe that only applies to googling actual text in your livejournal. The link I speak of appears on another website with my full name and a link to this website. I knew it had to fall this way sooner or later.
