4. Post the text of the sentence in your journal along with these instructions.
5. Don't search around and look for the coolest book you can find. Do what's actually next to you.

What kind of books do you read?! Btw, I keep wondering--where did you come up with your name? Does it means something?

Lol. That one happened to be handy because one of my friends and I were chatting about etiquette books the day before and we both have that one so I pulled it out while we were talking. It's Miss Manners' Guide to Excruciatingly Correct Behavior, btw. Rather amusing. :-) I generally read classic literature, to answer your question. ;-)

My name is semi-derived from Middle Earth. :-) If you're a Lord of the Rings fan, this might mean something to you...: Arien was a Maia who was put in charge of guiding the course of the sun after it's creation; she was also referred to as the Sun-maiden. Lindele is an Elvish word for music, so put together its basically "Sunmaiden of Music." Yeah. I'm a geek. :-P

Nope, I don't think you're a nerd. It's kind of hard to think of a name, and I love Tolkien's books!

*whew* That's good to know! ;-)

And you like Tolkien? Just one more reason to like you. :-)

Wait, I'm confused. I went on here yesterday or the day before and you had a new post where you mentioned a book someone mentioned to you, Ender's Game. I didn't get a chance to reply, but now I'm slightly puzzled. Did you delete the entry? Cuz I've heard of the story; I love (most of the time) Orson Scott Card. I've even read a couple times the short story he eventually expanded into that novel. I've just never seen it in the library; it seems they always have the rest of the series, but never the first book.

No, its still up. I did change it to a friends-only entry after forgetting to do it when I posted it, but you're in that group so I don't know what happened. Here's the link: http://arien-o-lindele.livejournal.com/111039.html Let me know if it works!

It's odd that your library would have all but the first book of the series! I hadn't realized it was part of one.

Are you a fan of SciFi, then?

I love sci/fi! And fantasy, too, though I don't read much in either category b/c I don't know who the good authors are. I've run across some very unpleasant stuff in my search, so I generally stick to short-story collections.

The only books I've read that might be considered for either category are LotR and the Chronicles of Narnia, but both are among my favorites; I asked a friend of mine if he had any recommendations because he is more into it than I am. The only books I remember him mentioning are Ender's Game and the Foundation Trilogy. He said the others he liked are "more advanced" or something...whatever that means. I guess he's planning on lending me the Foundation books next time I see him, so I'll let you know what I think when I'm done. :-) Have you read them?
