It has not been a quiet week in the land of Arienna... Well, two weeks really. First, I lost my job. My perfect, wonderful job that I was constantly grateful for having... Gone. Then, I broke my tablet laptop, that which I use for school notes and art work... And being freshly unemployed am in sort of an awkward place about replacing. Merf.

As far as the young man - that's the life of the military for you. A lot of my family have been (or still are) in various branches, so I've heard all the stories. The worst one was when my uncle was stationed in Korea for 3 years - although it counted as a PCS (Permanent Change of Station), Korea was considered a hardship posting, so families were not allowed. My aunt was left back in the states with 3 kids. Amazingly, they stayed married.

Yeah, the specialized road bikes really do handle almost psychically. Probably a good thing with mine because it's so small my feet sometimes get too close to the front tire when I actually have to move the handlebars. Besides, so so much more fun to lean into turns :-D
