Hello!
A week or so ago, my friend who knows I'm into lolita gave me a nice little assortment of jewelry for Christmas.
Jewelry~ Pearl multi-strand bracelet with dangly charms (vintage style). Pink x black butterfly ring (punk/sweet style). White large bead bracelet (casual/sweet style). Ring trio of smiling vanilla icecream cone, pink rainbow sprinkled donut, and vanilla with cherry on top cupcake (casual/sweet style).
Yesterday, I went shopping in Auburn with my parents. We didn't get back until 9pm. I was pretty sleepy since I had worked the overnight shift at work and decided to go shopping instead of take a nap. Even so, I was quick to spot a small orange piece of paper on my spot on the kitchen table. Wondering what it was, I picked it up and started to read. Apparently the post office had attempted to deliver a package, but left the note when no one was available to sign for it. The sender's name? Japan.
I did find a couple of cute loliable items while I was out shopping. A blue vintage style handbag and a pink plastic star headband. I probably need to clean a few spots on the purse, but otherwise it's in pretty good shape for being older. I'm also thinking I should get the headband in yellow too.
Bodyline Order #1
In the morning, I went to the post office and picked up my package from Bodyline. Very exciting! I couldn't wait to get home and open it up.
The package~ Wrapped in some sort of plastic envelope. Had a few tiny holes and a small one big enough to stick a pinky finger into, but not too bad. I think it survived traveling overseas pretty well.
Inside~ The items were wrapped individually in plastic envelopes.
First up~ Teddy bear with balloons socks in black. Very cute. They fit me decently. Might stretch a bit to feel more comfortable after a few wearings and washings.
Next~ Macaroon skirt in black. Came with removable waist ties (edges have lace and bow on them) and pin-on bow. I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised at this one. It looks much nicer in person than online. Maybe because the black shows off the print better?
Third~ Chocoberry skirt in purple. Came with removable waist ties (edges have lace and bow on them) and pin-on bow. This is a bit different from my usual taste. I like the print/style, but it might take a couple wearings to get used to the purple x red combination. I loved the black version online, but decided to go with purple since I don't have that color in my wardrobe.
Finally~ Waffle onepiece in blue. Came with matching headbow, non-removable waist ties (edges have lace and bow on them) and pin-on bow. The bows need some adjusting/fluffing, but otherwise not too bad. Loved the black version online, but decided to go with blue since I don't have much in that color. This will be great to wear in the spring or summer.
In the mail today, came one of my packages from EGL comm sales. It was the Sugary Carnival replica headbow in black. The seller also included a bonus sheet of cute owl stickers, which was a nice surprise.
I am looking forward to wearing all my new stuff to upcoming meets. I just need to plan out some outfits, but I get the feeling that it won't be too hard to do that now :-)
