My comment to L about halfway through was "I guess magical flower hair doesn't have to worry about split ends!"

[also, am still confused about why her cut hair doesn't just grow back -- does that mean her hair never shed/regrew like normal, either?]

Also why she didn't have enough to occupy her time. I dunno about you, but 75 feet of hair would keep me busy 24/7.

Hmmm. I thought Rapunzel's hair was a metaphor for her virginity, and the youth her step mother received by singing was another metaphor for an evil mother living a vicariously youthful life through her (step)daughter's innocence. The cutting of the hair was the final step where Flynn takes her virginity without her consent (dare I say rape?) for the noble(?) cause to set her free of her abusive step-mother. I can just see this scene played out with a biker dude and a priest's daughter. And for this Rapunzel is thankful.
