Ahh... The African Painted Dog icon that moonvoice made from her artwork of the same. I have this love of African Painted Dogs ever since I first saw them at the Woodland Park Zoo, and a trip that zoo is never complete unless I've seen them. They're the canine equivalent to my beloved hyenas, of which I also have an icon of moonvoice's work. I tend to use the hyena icon more often for general and animal/juju posts, but I occasionally use this one, too.
baffledking made this icon for me of the base pair of Wards Major cubes. The Wards Major are a magical tool used by the Deryni in Katherine Kurtz's incredible Deryni universe of books. I could probably spend paragraphs and paragraphs discussing the Wards Major cubes. Well, and that entire series of books. I really need to get my books out so i can reread them... I'll tend to use this icon primarily for juju posts. Tho' I'll probably start using it if/when I discuss all things Deryni...
This icon is from anythingdragon and just made me very happy when I saw it. So I snagged it to be a really nice all-purpose pagan-y, juju-y icon, which is pretty much how I tend to use it.
I've had this icon from lidi for AGES! It's become one of my default femslash icons, also used sometimes when I'm talking about anything dealing with lesbianism and sexuality. It's just a pretty, understated, beautiful icon and I love having it.
*giggles* I took this picture of a recently hatched orchard mason bee from our backyard two years ago.
shatterpath was holding the stick that the bee is sitting on. I love my little orchard mason bees, perhaps even more than I love bumblebees. I couldn't help but quote Eddie Izzard when I made the icon; it just had to be done! I use this one randomly, but it tends to come up when talking about our yard and our gardens.
*cackles* I found this picture of Pauley Perrette flipping the bird with that amused grin on her face and just HAD to make an icon of it. The wording just seemed perfect for the icon. I tend to use them when I'm being a bratty bitch or in a really good mood...

*considers* I would have to go back to my first femslash couple and the fandom they're from :: Beverly/Deanna, Star Trek: The Next Generation - Do you have a personal totem animal? And if not, what animal would you choose as your totem and why?
My very first "chosen" totem animal was Donkey, because of a "collection" started with one of my aunts. The first totem to come to me/claim me was Grandmother Spider, and She has never left me. And considering that Spider represents creativity, I take this as a very good thing... - If you were to be reincarnated, what kind of animal would you like to come back as?
Wow! That is a really tough question, as it can change almost daily. Right now, I'd want to come back as either an Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnake or a Black Mamba... These are two of my favorite snakes in the world. I have this affinity with poisonous snakes, particularly in zoos. The hotter the snake, the more active it gets around me. But not in a "want to kill/bite you" kind of way. No, it's more of a "want to be your best friend" kind of way. I know I've talked before about the Black Mamba and Eastern Diamondback at the Serpentarium and their reactions around me. I get a similar reaction from the King Cobra at Woodland Park Zoo. Oh! I want to add in the King Cobra to my list of what animal I want to come back as!
See? This is what I mean about my choice changing... *g* - If you could go anywhere and do anything, what would your dream vacation destination and what you do?
My dream vacation would be split between Thera -- I mean Santorini and Chalice Well @ Glastonbury Tor. For hopefully obvious reasons. I would collect water from both for my collection, I'd so some juju, and I'd hopefully write like a mofo! That is, if I haven't passed out from the juju overload... - Earth, Water, Air, or Fire? And why?
Hmm... I was born under a Fire sign, with an Earth moon and a water ascendant. I tend to have the best affinity with Water and Earth. There is a connection to Fire, but not much with Air, which is amusing since that's a very creative element. I am really attuned to Water, which is why I absolutely LOVE living in the Pacific Northwest. I have incredible access to this element practically within walking distance of where I live.
