The people next door were shooting off firecrackers at 10:30 at night. Not fireworks, which are usually not as loud (unless they're shriekers, which I HATE, but that's another post) and actually need darkness and which I would somewhat understand, but firecrackers. Then, after the firecrackers were done, the teenage girls across the street

You have touched upon one of the reasons why I don't like firecrackers/fireworks= They are TOO LOUD!!! And they piss people off! And they scare dogs and cats! And they injure people! And they feed the obsession with fire and distruction! And they put unnecessary pollutants in the air!!! GRRRR.... Don't get me wrong, I love this country, but I sorta dislike the fourth of July!
