I'm huge on the Mayan Riviera! The El Dorado is AWESOME! There are a ton of family resorts nearby. The only thing is that the Mayan Riviera can get on the pricey side. My personal fave is the Barcelo Maya

Sandals Antigua is PRETTTTTTYYYYY (I just got back from Sandals in St Lucia...unfortunately not many family resorts there though)

I checked out the Barcelo Maya, and I agree... it looks absolutely stunning. Unfortunately, it isn't an adults-only resort. Since this is going to be for our wedding/honeymoon, we would prefer not have bratty, out of control, snot-nosed kids running around and splashing in the pools and having temper tantrums
