Anyone reading this use one? I'm limited to one desk as our available space is...not much. I don't really need to share video, and I would rather not deal with shifting screen resolutions as my lappy is a widescreen and my desktop monitor is not ( Read more... )

We're in Tukwila, south of Seattle. Though if you look up our area or zip code, it frequently shows up as Seattle. =]

The screen rez shouldn't matter since that's controlled by the individual computers video card, so I wouldn't worry about that. Unless you care about things getting slightly smaller/bigger when you switch computers, in which case you need to control that Virgo side a bit more ( ... )

You sum up much of what I've read, especially with the wireless/combo. My gear is basic, though I have extras on the keyboard, I usually forget they're there.

I'm a go to Frys or Best Buy and see if the person there has an opinion. And probably ignore it. =P

Also, in regard to the monitor issue, it's more trying to get the widescreen to display on the regular screen. I'm not worried about it f-in up the resolution on the machine, but how it will display.

Remote Desktop.

At work we have four computers set up on three workbenches. The fourth is a common use test bench computer for a specific task. Since my computer is the one actually hooked to the KVM, I checked with IT, and they told me how to set up a link to a remote desktop connection for the fourth computer. Now the tech who uses the fourth computer can access it from their computer, without having to go to my specific computer monitor.

Hmmmmmm...that is a possibility. We are networked and as long as there aren't issues with the wireless on the lappy. Which there aren't. Usually. That might work.

Thank you!
