...post an image via a link or such so that it'll actually show up in the journal? Also, how do you do one of those cuts, so a big message is much shorter?

Cuts= *lj-cut text="stuff to say goes here"* Replace the *s with those > or < things.

Images, I'm not sure of the actual coding for.
