Dreamcatcher and Fox Skull

Hey all!

I've finally gotten around to finishing off a few things and getting some pictures :D

First up is the fox skull Kaishu I did for a friends birthday. I cleaned it up myself and it's the first skull I properly macerated, degreased and bleached. The patterning is done in Indian Ink :D First time I've really tried doing a tribal thing with a skull, had a lot of fun with it in the end. Most of the markings I made up on the spot and whatever felt right, ended up looking pretty good :D

My friend is getting some LED's to put into the skull and a few spots so it lights up nicely, will have to get pictures of it then as well.

Next up is a dreamcatcher I was going to put in my car, not so sure if I will now, seems to pretty to have in there xD At the moment got it hanging from some antlers in front of the window, the stones catch the light really nicely there!

This thing was incredibly hard to photograph, hopefully it makes sense xD

The catcher is made from 4 joined fox ribs, each side has the dream catcher weave/webbing on it and on the inside is a suspended fox vertebrae. Each rib has a hanging claw with 7 stones above it, and from the bottom is another vertebrae with a claw and 6 stones above it :D
This was actually pretty fun and challenging in the end, one side I messed up and has a pretty big gap at the top, but everything else worked out pretty well - definitely something I want to try making more of!

One more random thing, while cleaning up dads skull I came across this neat little thing on the back - a perfect hole though the bone, its pretty neat!

:D Thanks a ton for all the tips on cleaning her up as well, got all the pencil off and a bit of pen and paint off as well :O Sadly the glue didn't budge, but its pretty minor, she looks much better now!
