I now have two jobs which is sort of amazing. I enjoy being super busy, and I should be run ragged pretty quickly, so hooray! I realize that this is an odd desire, but to me, being super crazy busy makes me appreciate the moments of peace I get far more. And yeah, scheduling in everything (work outs, boy time, cleaning time) around it is difficult ( Read more... )

Have you read Charlaine Harris' Sookie Stackhouse/True Blood books? They are a guilty pleasure. And yeah, Twilight is great for laughs/an okay romance. The writing (looking at a thesaurus every other word) is um... I hate it. I refuse to touch Meyer's other books.

It's not really over-hyped or ridiculous, but you could read the Anita Blake series. It's vampires, set in St. Louis, and there are some really REALLY raunchy love scenes in it. lol And, I could lend them to you. :)

Have you done the Wheel of Time series? I get that one a lot. The Taltos/Drageara series is a fun one. I don't think many people have read it, but it's good. I have the first book if you want to borrow it.

I don't have a suggestion, but I have to agree with the writing of the storyline of Twilight. It sucked! I felt like I was proofreading a middle schooler's story. Like, the idea was there, but the writing was horrible. Some of the sentences didn't even make sense! And the spelling on some things? Ugh. I actually had a pen in hand and started correcting it, it was that atrocious.

Harry Potter is MUCH better, but be forewarned, the last book is great, but it seems as if it was thrown together in a rush, which I am sure it was. It makes it feel like a lame ending to the series, but just tell yourself that it isn't that bad and you'll be fine.
