Just watched the series finale of the American version of Life on Mars. It coudn't have been and more preposterous. I can't even begin to describe how dissapointing it was. I'm pretty much speechless. The story was idiotic and the acting was non-existant

I like to think they would have done better if they hadn't had the show cancelled out from under them. I really like Jason O'Mara.

But that ending... I suppose somebody thought, oh, how apt!

THe last two episodes prior to this were actually worthy of their UK counterpart, so it was doubly sad. You're right, it could have been due to the lack of time on their part, but I read an interview with the producers and they said regardless of the decision the though of why Sam was where he was is the same and that this was their idea of how it would end.

Based on their ending the only thing I thought was clever was the years in the logo going in the other direction.
