True story .... who head butts someone in the World Cup? Especially NOT DURING PLAY! What a way to go out, it's his last game and he'll be remembered for head butting a man's chest and losing the Cup. Ouch.

I believe that. The italians struck me as total jerkoffs... they were flopping and taunting and just generally annoying to watch; even though they play fairly well, they also play very dirty.

but still... you don't flipping head-butt someone even if they're pissing you off... you wait til after you kick their sorry ass and then you pound the living shit out of them (or take the high road and just win and smile).

You're right about the Italians. Mark and I played on a team of mostly Italians and they were such hot headed a--holes they even tried to pick a fight with US!!! Never passed to anyone but their buddies. One game with them, I tore my ACL in Stadium Highschool and had practically crawl up all those stairs by myself after the game because the WOP's took off and just left me.

I'm sure Zidane was dogged dirty the entire game. No doubt he had a target on his back. It looked like he dislocated his shoulder in the 2nd half and asked to come out, but then played through it. Just before the headbutt, it looked like the defender was working him over pretty good. Maybe since they wouldn't let him come out with the shoulder injury, he decided to just take himself out in style... Only red card of the game.
