Greener Grass

I am constantly struggling through work this week, mainly due to a « greener grass syndrome ».  Right now all I want to do is to be somewhere else, be it on vaccation or even working or being in school.  This hiatus of 8-9 hours every day is frustrating beyond anything I can explain.  I am not here for the biology… I am here for the travel, the ( Read more... )

I hate commenting on posts like this because I always sound cliche. I learned the hard way that you have to enjoy going to work and the people you work with. If either of those doesn't work then you're going to hate the job. I have a B.S. in accounting. <--I'm sure as hell not doing that for a living cause you know what I do.

Money is a different story because if you need money then you'll take any kind of job. Later on you'll figure it out.

I definitely agree with you! The people are what is making this job here so attrocious. But my lab at home has good people in it, and i'm sure I can find other labs with good (english speaking) people. What I'm saying, is that if I can have good people in both an acedemic or industry setting, I'd choose the industry to make more money. We'll see if the first part of the corrolary holds out when I attempt to work in industry... but if it does, then the plan comes together!

If not, I find a new plan... ugh
