god why are there so many people on my friendslist. I've got over 150 people friended and I'm pretty sure I talk to.... 20 of them at most? I just want to purge, purge, purge but I hate hurting feelings. please advise

I did an enourmous, ~400 friend purge last month and it felt so cleansing. I recommend it greatly, even if the guilt does come up a little. I thought I would get defriended a lot, silently, but in reality my friend-of number has more or less stayed the same, wow.
