[There's a young man staring up at what seems to be a huge office building, a not!DS COMP in his hand. The tower seems to reach up to the sky, and the very top is covered in dark clouds, with lightning surrounding it.]

[He shakes his head and slips the COMP back into his pocket, before catching sight of Yue. The fact that she has a demon with her makes him even more suspicious than he would be normally. He turns, making sure he has a clear escape route through the ruined city, just in case.]

Who are you? What do you want?

Yue is unimpressed by his wariness...but that tower...that tower...it can't be. She ignores him for a moment, staring up at it with a mixture of shock and horror.

"...Babel...?"

That's where they fought Babel, yes. Where the King of Bel took power.

She whirls, grabbing him by the shirt collar. The steel in her eyes and the fact that they've gone slightly gold is probably a hint you should answer the lady's question.

"What district of Tokyo is this? And what year?"

[Behind this door you will find a temple, though it's mostly deserted. There's a young man, though, sitting by a cave, looking out at a city down the hill. If you know your art, you might recognize both his clothing and the architecture as Greek.]

Sadly, it's not the architecture she recognizes first.

"Cain." YOUR TIME HAS COME.

[The man looks up at her. The facial features are slightly different, but yes, it's him.]

Apparently I was once known as that name, yes. [He laughs, and. Well. That's not a very sane-sounding laugh there, Cain. :|]

[The world beyond the next door might feel both familiar and strange. Familiar, because of the figure walking through the forest that's beyond this door. Strange, because it doesn't feel like a reality.]

[But the figure is Isamu, and the 'world' is a dream. The forest looks a bit like Nakano, but the colors are faded. He has his axe over his shoulder, but no demon walking with him. His expression is grim, not really the polite young man he usually presents himself as.]

A dream...it's not the first time. And now that it's a dream, maintaining Set's summon is simple. Nothing but a thought and he's there, and she's him and--this is just weird.

Lean down in front of the young man.

"And where are you going?"

[He looks up at Set, and his eyes... they just look tired.]

I have to find it. Or we're all...

[He turns as if to continue walking.]

A sigh from the giant dragon, spreading a wing to stop him.

"'It'? If you're looking for hope, you already have it, star-child."

*Here's something a little different. The space beyond the door is white.

Not a white room, a white space. There's nothing to indicate that any such thing as perspective or normal rules of geometry apply here.

In the center - or is it? - is a young man wearing headphones, sitting with his legs crossed and his eyes closed.*

Hello.

"...Saito-san?" Well this is weird. And kind of really disorienting. Guh.

Yeah.

*As Saito stands up, you notice another feature of this place - as he moves, the image lingers, a series of slow-movement photos behind him showing every movement he makes.*

...I didn't think a normal human could come to this place. You used the Mall, huh?

"...And the Velvet Key, yeah." That's...making her mildly motion sick. Jesus.

"What...is this place?"

The next door leads to a very ornate room, as if you just walked into a palace. Sitting in a chair is a young man who oddly resembles Souji deep in thought and is wearing an elaborate yukata as if he's royal. No, he's more than that.

He looks up at the sound of a door opening and...why is there a blue door in the middle of his study? Who is that mortal?

"State your business, young mortal. I'm busy."

"Ah..." She doesn't really recognize him. There had been two people in his dungeon who looked like him but...he wasn't them, if the way Set stirred at the back of her mind was any indication. Maybe the one that had been at Akira's...

"...I think I opened the wrong door." Which was gone now. Dammit, she had to wait before she could open another.

Huh. The door vanished. He vaguely recalls something about those. Somebody mentioned them about a few thousand years ago. :|

He can sense Set within the girl but decides to not mention it. She probably already knows. And yeah, he was at Akira's dungeon...or will be.

"So it appears. If you are looking to assassinate Yamato Takeru, I regret to inform you that he's already dead."

"I...have no interest in assassinating anyone at all, Izanagi no Omikami." Thank you, Set, for supplying the name. Yue sighed, running a hand through her hand...what honorific do you even use with a god?

"Assassination is troublesome and doesn't do any good to begin with."

But sometimes it's very satisfying--

"...shut up, Set."
