Renji, I need to find a kidou tutor. Someone other than Hinamori-san, no offense meant to her but between running her own division and being Ichigo's tutor, she's probably already swamped.

Suggestions for an expert to learn from in hand to hand combat would also be welcome.

Ah, yeah, Hinamori's pretty busy lately. Kira's actually a real kidou ace, and so's Rukia. They've both helped my hopeless ass out over the years. They're both particularly good with healing and binding kidou.

As for a hakuda teacher...well, Soifon-taichou is prolly the best at hand-to-hand, but she's not real...ah...personable. I don't know her too well, so I can't say for sure how she feels about taking on students, but she's by far one of the best hakuda-masters I know of, aside from perhaps Yoruichi-san. But...we ain't heard from her in a while.

Thanks. I want to get things into high gear, and the academy isn't much helpful for extra-curricular stuff.

I know Rukia's busy a lot too lately, but what's Kira like? Third Division vice-captain right? I'm not picky or nothing, so whoever I can get that'll put up with my failing to get the picture is A-OK.

Ergh, I'm not sure if asking a captain for private lessons will fly very far. They gotta be busy as all hell, and I've never even met Soifon-taichou before. I know if I was a captain and Jane Random Trainee walked in, I'd wonder who died and let them past the gate. If I could get in contact with Yoruichi-san, that'd be awesome. Ichigo told me about how she trained him for bankai, getting lessons from her would be kickass.

Kira's one'a my oldest pals. He's a great guy--little somber, little morose sometimes, but he's always there when ya need him. He and I go way back; I'll talk to him about it if you want.

And...yeah, Soifon-taichou is kinda...standoffish, to say the least. To be honest she scares the hell outta me. But the whole Second Division kinda specializes in hakuda--or the Special Forces faction does, anyhow. Maybe you could ask one of your professors if he knows if any of 'em might be willin' to give ya a lesson?

Sorry I ain't much help with that. I'd offer to help you myself, but it really ain't my forté. I don't suck at it, so...in a pinch I could prolly give ya a pointer or two, but I'm far from a master. But if we ever hear from Yoruichi-san anytime soon I'll tell her she's got an adoring fan.
