Saw the news and am not surprised. The US was heading in that direction for a few years now. I think those who said the Democrats lost touch with the people were right. And whatever one says about Republicans, their voters go to vote. This is how democracy works after all, for better or worse

I'm not sure what most people expect from their government, as far as telling them what's going on, who said what. I think it's up to the individual to stay informed. Unfortunately, I think that's where things went wrong. You don't like how Biden continues to send arms to Israel? What do you think Trump will do, considering that he's the one who officially recognized Jerusalem as Israel's capital? And Hispanics who voted for Trump give me a pain. During the last official round up of illegals, the xenophobic Operation Wetback, citizens were round up, too. Don't think it could happen again? Think again.

Yes, the situation in the US has been toxic for a while. I don't think saying Kamala lost because she's a woman is enough. There's a lot going on in US society beyond sexism or racism.
