Because a few of you have had my hummus...now you can make it! It's not too difficult.
I got this out of the first "Frugal Gourmet" cookbook by Jeff Smith
Hummus
Ingredients:
2 15.5 oz cans chickpeas (garbanzo beans)
1/2 cup sesame tahini
2-3 cloves garlic
juice of one lemon
salt, pepper, paprika, ginger to taste
Directions:
1. Drain one can of chickpeas. Save the liquid in the second can.
2. Combine chickpeas, liquid, garlic, and tahini in a food processor. Pulse until pureed.
3. Add lemon juice and seasoning, pulse to combine.
Variations:
A: Add 2-3 roasted red peppers. Hold back some of the chickpea liquid.
B: Use roasted garlic cloves instead.
Enjoy!
