Fun with Google Translator

qatar recently mentioned Translation PartySupposedly it translates your phrase into Japanese and then back -- and then back into Japanese, and so on -- until it finally gets the same phrase back twice

I noticed the translations changed from day to day, which I assume happens because Google uses statistical machine translation and their corpus changes over time. However, it also seems to be oddly sensitive to changes in whitespace and punctuation. I wouldn't have expected that so much.
