So yeah, today was an interesting day. Started off playing tennis with an old friend I hadn't played tennis with in a long time which was pretty cool. The best part was when she told me she didn't think I had improved much since the last time we'd played. :/ So then, seeing it was Fleet Week here in SF, I decided to go down to the all too ( Read more... )

Geh. >_< *hugs* I've had two bikes stolen in the past two years as well. ._. I suck at rollerblading, and that was pretty much my only transportation besides bus or foot. I know how you feel. I wish I could put a transmitter in my next bike, and stalk the person who steals it next, and slowly drive them insane. >:D Yes, I am spiteful.

Well, I was wishing that I could track down who did it and slowly dismember them but driving them insane is pretty cool too.

Why not settle for driving them slowly insane, whilst slowly dismembering them?! Get the best of both worlds!

Back in blighty, we used to stamp an ID number into the frame - wouldn't stop the bike getting nicked, but it made it a little harder to sell on, since the bike shops would get lists of stolen numbers from the police.

As you said, though - there's little that you can do when crap like this happens, except wish plague & pestulance upon the scumbag that took it... :(

Having you bike stolen twice tells me that either 1) you need a bigger lock and 25' feet of chain or 2) you need to hire a sniper to watch it while you're out. =]

Sorry no practical solutions, but I'm sorry to hear of your loss anyway.
