Fuji stretched his arms, bringing them to cradle his head away from the wall, so his hair didn’t keep catching against the bricks.
Such a simple statement that just describes how Fuji is standing and why. It gives me a whole mental picture of the scene yet doesn't bombard me with useless details.
He was proud to know someone who had such amazing character, even in light of dirty tactics.
You are constantly giving us insights to Fuji's character. The way he acts with others, his morals (or lack of) and why he plays tennis. And even though it's a story about Fuji and his developing friendship with Tezuka you manage to include snippets of others too.
Fuji had to stop himself from running to his side, knowing that Oishi would take care of the redhead.
His brother’s tennis had improved, and Fuji felt a swell of pride despite the pain inside.The way you portray the whole brother interaction and Fuji's feelings on it were brilliant to read. I felt it was a nice mixture of emotions from both boys ( ... )
