No, I didn't go to see them. I should go to more shows. I just went to her dorm and wrote drug requests on all of the dormroom whiteboards. It was...lame, but fun.

I KNOW! i've missed 2 out of 4 already! 50% is NOT a satisfactory attendance rate. bummer.
you should definitely go to more shows. ian and i are going to a show sometime during christmas break so PLEASE do join us. we haven't decided on where we're gonna go, but i was thinking about just going to graceland or redmond fire house. GO WITH US, arielle! it'll be fun.

OH MAN! SEVEN SAMURAI!!! We're going to do this. When do you come home? Man...I've heard amazing things about that film. My family owns it, but it doesn't have subtitles. We could rent it with subtitles, but something is to be gained from a movie without them.

If we can find a collection of French new wave, count me in.

Oh oh oh. There are like 5 Kurosawa's in the Radelet movie library, and a generous amount of Hepburns. Just come over whenever, guaranteed I'll watch any of them again. that's how they were made, though.

there is nothing to be gained seeing a movie without subtitles if you don't know the language, in my opinion. dubbed movies definitely are sub-par, however. there is something to be said about hearing the language in which it was made. subtitles, in my opinion, don't detract from hearing the cadence of the language.

anyway, that was suitably geeky. i get home on the 10th.

p.s. i've never been too big on audrey hepburn. i'm more of a grace kelly guy.
